We had a nice cool day this year for inspections, and welcomed Ann Daum from the North American office and Otto Schalter from Germany to our farm to inspect Warmblood, GRP, Connemara, Welsh and Haflinger mares and foals. Four of our foals were presented in order from youngest to oldest. Three of our foals were around two months of age, which is not the best age to show Haflingers at, but we had very late foals this year. Struck in the Stars New Horizons, aka Bolt (Stellar TVR x VPrSt Ricola DTA/Adanac), b. 6.30.25 and purchased in utero by Fred and Jennifer Hughes, was the first horse in the ring. Judges commented on him being an impressive and very attractive colt with good gaits, very well-developed and well-muscled, with a well-set topline, good walk, active trot with push and swing that earned him a Premium rating and overall score of 8.1. Rafiki New Horizons (Stellar TVR x VPrSt Regina DTA/Wizard IEF) b. 6.20.25 and purchased by Caroline Holmes was second in the ring. Comments included well-developed filly with pretty type, active walk, trot with a lot of push, and rhythmic canter for an overall score of 7.8. Next was Remy’s full sister, Rhiannon New Horizons (Brenner IK x StPrSt Rivendell New Horizons/Stellar TVR), b. 6.17.25 and purchased in utero by Hattie Henderson. Comments included well-developed filly with a solid build, well-set topline, good walk, rhythmic trot, and a canter with push and jump for an overall score of 7.9. The last of our foals is owned and bred by us, Steinbeck New Horizons, better known as Legs (Stellar TVR x StPrSt Zinderella of Dreamfield/Next Level GHJ). Comments included very typy colt with good size, leggy, well-developed with a pretty type and pretty face, well-muscled topline, good ground cover with active gaits that included a very active walk, trot with push, active canter with a lot of stride and jump, all of which earned him a Premium and overall Champion over all ages with a score of 8.2 overall, including an 8.5 for type and overall impression, 8.0 for quality of conformation and correctness (foundation and movement), and 16 for swing and elasticity. Legs was sold in utero but his owner was unable to purchase him, so he is now owned by our good friend, Marcy Foss, who also owns Standing Ovation New Horizons!
