The first and only Supreme mare in North America!

In 2015 Rosie became the first Supreme mare in AHR history based on the inspection results of her offspring! In 2011, Rosie achieved Elite status, becoming one of two Elite mares in the history of the breed in North America. Rosie daughter, Radiance of New Horizons, was classified in 2015, tying for Inspection Champion at 82 points, and tying for the second highest scoring horse in the history of the AHR Inspection and Classification program! Her full sibling, Rosina of New Horizons, bred by us and owned by Dreamfield Manor Farm, was Gold Classified in 2011 – only 1% of Haflingers worldwide achieve this status!

In 2015 Rosie was presented to RPSI, approved for breeding and entered into their top mare book. Three of Rosie’s daughters were also presented to RPSI. Two mares were approved for breeding and entered into their top mare book, and her 2015 filly was awarded Gold Premium status!

A multi-champion at halter and performance, as well as winner of the 2001 Tudor Oaks Farm Breeders’ Award of Excellence (Division II), our foundation mare, “Rosie” is an exceptional mare with beauty, size (14.2 3/4 H), refinement, clean bone, and a flowing snow white mane and tail.

Proven producer of performance horses, premium and gold mares and foals, and halter champions, time and time again!

This PREMIER broodmare has proven herself to be one of the top producing broodmares in North America by consistently producing winners on-the-line and under saddle at both breed and USDF rated open shows by different stallions. She is by the Star stallion, Nobleman of Tudor Oaks, an Austrian import who was sold to a breeder in Holland after the 2000 World Show. Nobleman won 3rd place in his class at the 1995 World Show in Ebbs, Austria, and was 1996 HRNA National Grand Champion Stallion and Best of Show. Tall and regal, Nobleman stood at 15.1+H. His noble character and presence shine through in Rosie. Rosie’s gorgeous head and soft, kind eye draw attention wherever she goes. Rosie is out of one of the strongest mare lines in the Haflinger breed, going back to one of the greatest producing mares in North America–Rosie NTF–a Dutch import.
At Rosie’s inspection she tied for the 3rd highest score in the U.S. of all horses inspected that year. This places her in the top 10% of Haflingers inspected world-wide. In 2011 Rosie became the second mare in AHR history to achieve ELITE status when one daughter achieved GOLD status and two other daughters received silver ratings at their AHR inspection and classification in NY!

At the RPSI inspection, Rosie was entered into the top mare book, and the inspector commented on her solid bone, correctness, pretty face, and good walk with good energy.

In her first year of showing dressage in fall 2006, after only 30 days dressage training, Rosie took home the blue ribbon in intro. level suitability, second place in intro level test B, and was Reserve High Point Champion at intro level (missing champion by 1%) at the Battle Creek Equestrian Center Schooling Show in early September. A few weeks later at the American Haflinger Registry National Show she was High Point Champion/High Percentage Champion at intro level, winning first place at BOTH introductory level Test A and B!

Rosie has also proven herself to be an exceptional producer, following the other great producing mares on her dam’s side. ALL of Rosie’s foals are champions at halter, and ALL of her offspring that are old enough to be shown in performance have been champions under saddle in a variety of disciplines, including: dressage, English, western, starter eventing trials, and hunter under saddle! Her offspring have brought home champion and first place honors at the AHR National Show, AHR National Futurity, USDF DSHB National All-Breed Awards, and Haflinger Challenge Top Five Awards, to name a few!! (Check the Results Page of our website for detailed results on the winnings of Rosie and her offspring.) Rosie’s foals are known for their size, outstanding trainability, rideability, exemplary work ethic, desire to please, and clean, refined bone which they inherited from their dam, and for their outstanding movement and correct conformation, with long legs, long, and long, high set necks passed on by their sires. Rosie’s consistently throws offspring taller than herself, with most of them maturing to 14.3-15.1+H. Several of Rosie’s offspring are currently excelling under saddle with professionals, amateurs, and children, in USDF/USEF rated dressage shows, in open hunter/jumper shows, and in breed shows. Rosie’s offspring consistently come out on top in group classes as well, including first place wins in Produce-of-Dam classes at open rated shows and breed shows.
