Standing Ovation New Horizons

Licensed and Approved Westfalen and Weser Ems

Born: 6.23.16

Sire: Stellar TVR (SILVER)

Dam: VPrSt Ricola DTA (SILVER)

Standing Ovation New Horizons (Stellar TVR x VPrSt Ricola DTA/Adanac) bred by us and purchased in utero by Marcy Segel six years ago, successfully completed the North American Stallion Sport Test and is now fully licensed and approved into Stallion Book I through Westfalen and Weser Ems! We are so happy for Team Stanley, which also includes his talented rider, Carolyn Jette, and Marcy’s husband Rob. Not only is Stanley the first Haflinger in history to do the three day Sport Test, he is the first “pony”/small horse of all breeds to participate in the pony test, and the second Haflinger in North America (in addition to his sire) to be fully licensed and approved by the German sporthorse/sportpony registries. Stanley inherited his sires athleticism and his can-do willing work ethic. Judges comments included: willing, capable, has quality of gaits, good balance, good scope, represents his breed well, shows good promise for a future in sport. Congratulations to Marcy Segel and Carolyn Jette on doing such an amazing job with this boy!

We are excited to announce that Ricola DTA had her first Stellar colt–three weeks early!–on June 23, 2016. Standing Ovation New Horizons, aka Stanley, was sold inutero. We are so excited for this handsome boy’s new owners! Stanley is quite the character and full of personality!

We are SO very excited to announced that Standing Ovation of New Horizons, aka Stanley, was awarded Silver Premium with a score of 7.8 at his RPSI inspection on August 31st! Unfortunately, Stanley was very nervous in the ring and did not want to trot much (just canter), but we got some wonderful shots showing off his outstanding trot when we returned home. Stanley was purchased inutero by Marcy Segel and will be heading to Connecticut this fall. We are very excited to see what the future will bring for this young powerhouse!

We are so very excited to announce that in addition to being the CHAMPION three-year-old at the AHR National Futurity, Stanley was also inspected and provisionally approved for breeding by Westfalen NA pending performance results! Stanley is showing great aptitude for jumping as well! Congratulations to his owner, Marcy Segel, for all of the great work she is doing with Stanley, who is a kind gentleman, athletic, and an
outstanding mover like his sire!
