In 2007, Vader was named Reserve Grand Champion Pleasure Yearling and won first place yearling pleasure stallion at the AHR National Futurity, was 2nd place yearling pleasure stallion at the AHR National Show and 2nd place in the pleasure Get-of-Sire group class, and was Grand Champion Yearling and 1st place pleasure yearling stallion at the GLHA Futurity! He was also 2nd place yearling stallion at the Buckeye Haflinger Show in June!
When we first saw Vader at two months of age, he took our breath away, and was one of the most incredible-moving Haflingers we had ever seen! With exceptional movement on both sides of his pedigree, Vader has excellent impulsion from behind and extension and reach up front, with great freedom of shoulder. He is a very elevated mover with an uphill build and well-defined withers. Upon seeing him as a weanling shortly after his arrival to our farm, several dressage trainers/riders remarked that he looked and moved like a warmblood. On top of that, Vader’s beautiful, large, kind, expressive eye, excellent conformation, length of leg and neck and excellent head set all attract attention. He is very refined with exceptionally clean, smooth bone and a stunning copper color.
Vader is out of two-time National Champion pleasure stallion and three-time SIP Stallion-of-the-Year, Arno van het Nieshof. His dam, Moxie NTF (now deceased), is a multi-champion at halter and out of one of the best-moving mare lines in the breed. This cross has produced a number of exceptional-moving horses over the years, and Vader is no exception!
Vader is trained to drive single and double. A pleasure to work with, he has a very willing attitude and wonderful work ethic. Vader is also very well-mannered–a true gentleman!
