New Horizons Haflingers offers exceptional, tall, modern, athletic registered Haflinger sport horses and pleasure horses for sale. Horses owned and bred by us are shown in major breed shows and open USDF/USEF rated shows throughout the Midwest and East coast, winning on-the-line in dressage sport horse breeding classes and under saddle in dressage, eventing, hunters and jumpers, against Warmbloods and many other breeds! As the 2011 USEF Leading Breeder of Haflinger Dressage Sport Horses, and the Reserve 2012 USEF Leading Breeder of Haflinger Dressage Horses, we consistently produce sport horse type Haflingers of the highest quality. We may not be one of the biggest farms, but our record reflects that we are one of the best! Our focus on quality versus quantity ensures that horses get the utmost attention and care. Our small, select group of mares were chosen from the best Austrian, German and Dutch bloodlines available, and we keep some of their exceptional offspring as future breeding and performance prospects.
New Horizons Haflingers have the temperament, rideability and personality that adult amateurs and young riders appreciate, and the talent and correct, pure gaits that professionals desire. Our philosophy is based on the belief that horses need to be extremely trainable, rideable, and willing to work, in addition to having eye appeal, excellent conformation, movement and athleticism. Our broodmares stand 14.2 3/4H-15.1H and are by GOLD, SILVER, ELITE, SUPREME, STAR, and/or NATIONAL CHAMPION stallions. All of our mares that have been inspected are SILVER and GOLD classified and proven performers, and several of them have won NATIONAL CHAMPION titles through AHR, AWS, and USDF national shows, inspections, and year-end awards programs. In 2011 our premier broodmare and foundation mare, R Noble Rose APF, became the second mare in North American history to achieve ELITE status, based on the results of three out of her first four offspring that had been inspected and classified! "Rosie" has proven herself to be one of the top producing broodmares in North America, consistently producing performance and halter champions at breed shows, and Champions and Reserve Champions at USDF rated shows--open and IBC--including a Dressage at Devon Grand Champion! Ricola DTA is an American Warmblood Society National Inspection Champion, and GOLD classified Poetry in Motion VHH is an AHR National Grand Champion and Best of Show!
Our SILVER classified Austrian imported stallion, Stellar TVR, currently stands @14.3H and has a pedigree full of GOLD-rated horses, ELITE bloodlines, and World and European Champions. With his excellent conformation, outstanding movement and athleticism, and exceptional character and temperament, Stellar has already made his mark in the Haflinger and sporthorse world! In 2012 Stellar won the Bronze Medal against Warmbloods at the AWS inspection in Michigan, and became the first and currently the only Haflinger stallion in North American history approved for breeding by the Weser Ems/GOV into Stud Book I--receiving the excellent score of 8s on correctness of gaits and breed/sex type--and RPSI (Stud Book I)! In 2011 Stellar was the USDF National Champion Haflinger, with the highest median score in both open and IBC classes of all Haflingers in the country! He has also won Grand Champion and Reserve Champion at USDF rated shows in both IBC and open classes! Stellar was the highest scoring stallion on the 2011 AHR U.S. inspection tour, with a score of 77, including 9 on head and 8s on type, overall movement, hindquarter, midsection and front legs!
Most of our horses are also registered with the American Warmblood Society (AWS) and/or the Weser-Ems Breeder's Society, and have lifetime registration with the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) and the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). Those of performance age and actively competing are also registered with the Performance Horse Registry (PHR).
